Event:  DIRECT FLIGHTS AVAILABLE TO THE U.S. ON EGYPT AIR

The U.S. Embassy in Cairo is aware of direct flights on the 12th and 16th of May from Cairo to Washington D.C. (Dulles) on Egypt Air.

These are private commercial flights for which U.S. citizens who wish to depart Egypt will be able to purchase tickets directly by calling the Egypt Air call centers 24 hours a day:

  • From outside of Egypt: Call the EgyptAir international call center +971 443 58 444

PLEASE NOTE: This flight is available to U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs), Immigrant visa holders, and Nonimmigrant visa holders of F, H, J, K and L visas or those accompanying a U.S. citizen.  No further approval is needed from the Embassy to book a ticket if a traveler is in any of the categories mentioned above.

The Embassy continues to work with the Egyptian government and foreign Embassy partners to identify or arrange options for U.S. citizens who wish to depart Egypt.

The U.S. Embassy in Cairo continues to collect information from U.S. citizens in order to estimate ongoing demand for flights departing Egypt.  If you have already sent us your information, please do not do so again.  If you have not done so already, you can still enter your information via this online form(https://tinyurl.com/cairorepat2020).  We will not share your information with any third party without your consent.
