Thomas Goldberger has been Chief of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires of the United States in Egypt since June 2017. He has lived in Cairo since September 2014, and previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy. He is a member of the Senior Foreign Service with extensive experience in the Middle East and in advancing U.S. international economic policy. He is a resident of the state of Virginia. Mr. Goldberger is accompanied in Cairo by his wife Eden Goldberger.
