Subject: Alert: Reports of Roadside Bomb Attack on Tourist Bus in Giza

Location: Egypt

Event:  Reports of Roadside Bomb Injuring Tourists Near the New Egyptian Museum in Giza

We are aware of a reported attack on a tourist bus in the museum complex near the Pyramids in the Giza area, resulting in injuries.  We are not aware of any injuries to U.S. citizens at this time. Please avoid the area and monitor local media for updates. U.S. citizens requiring assistance should contact the Embassy.

  • Avoid the area of the explosion.
  • Comply with instructions by local authorities if needed.
  • Monitor local media for updates.
