Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken will meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri and his team in Washington, D.C., November 8-9 to participate in the U.S.-Egypt strategic dialogue. Secretary Blinken is joined by senior officials from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Department of Defense. Minister Blinken and his counterpart Shukri will make public statements on 8 November at the opening of the dialogue, after which the delegation will discuss international, regional, human rights and bilateral cooperation on economic, judicial, security, educational and cultural issues.

Egypt is a vital partner of the United States, and we are committed to strengthening the 40-year partnership between the United States and Egypt by strengthening security cooperation, promoting human rights and developing our important economic and cultural relations. This strategic dialogue represents an opportunity to advance every area of cooperation to improve the lives of Americans and Egyptians alike.
